"Sponsor a book" program visits Lima Hospitals for Christmas

On December 21 and 23, 2011, we had the most wonderful experience of this year's humanitarian projects in Lima. Christmas brings our annual “Sponsor a Book” program; distributing character building materials & books in the poverty stricken areas of Lima. This year while planning the program we were thinking of who would appreciate those great books the most and so we decided to give them to hospitalized children. We started with the largest children's hospital in Peru, “Hospital del Niño”.

Christmas visits at Baja Orphanages

“Thank you so much for coming! We haven’t gotten very much support this Christmas and you’ve made the children’s Christmas very special,” said Ericka. Ericka is the director of Reino de los Niños, an orphanage south of Ensenada with whom we’ve been working with for over a year. A drop in support was something we would hear echoed by all the orphanages visited this Christmas and we are so thankful Activated Ministries was able to continue sponsoring our visits this year.

Christmas Visitations & Caroling - Taiwan Family Volunteers & Jeffrey Groft

Taiwan Christmas 2011: Our team of volunteers visited with families & their loved ones & provided Christmas caroling at 4 hospitals, an orphanage, a delinquent center & a prison. We were able to gift over 2000 Activated Magazines & 570 Christmas CD cards thanks to Activated Ministries sponsorship.

Making a difference in Johannesburg

"At our 8th annual Christmas party for 1800 such children from 69 (the most ever!) different preschools in the township where we have worked for 14 years we were able to distribute hundreds of books and educational posters to brighten their lives. Reading schemes and Foundation of Faith and Character building sets for preschools for children – giving them an opportunity to expand their horizons and learn and grow in the Christian faith and stretching their ability to learn."

Libraries to two churches in Malawi and Zimbabwe

"Activated Ministries sponsored three Christian publication libraries for churches in Malawi and Zimbabwe. The publication libraries were set up in Blantyre and Lilongwe, the two primary population centers in Malawi."
