"Many of the patients in Hospital Niño Morelense are children of the very poorest families in the State of Morelos. They come from miles around, from many of the small villages, to receive treatment and often have nothing but the clothes on their backs. Christmas presents and entertainment are the furthest thing from their minds as they struggle with day to day survival, which is why the party we were able to organize for the patients and their families was so special!"

Books and teaching aids to low income Filipino schools

"During Christmas 2011, our volunteers had the goal of helping at least 1,000 children from poor areas in Taguig, Phillipines. We discovered that there are 130 government run day care centers for poor children with approximately 10,000 children enrolled. So we went ahead and with the help of the Dept. of Social Welcare and Barangay (town) officials we arranged two events in which four towns would be involved, with a total of 17 Day Care centers and around 1,050 children."

"We met Lucky when he was about 6 years old. He had never known his parents and was brought up in a children’s Home and we used to take food on a regular basis to the orphanage where he lived. He started coming to our camps as a young boy in 1999."

"We started off with 16 kiddies in our home and steadily it grew until in Christmas 1999 I had over 100 children attending! Up to date we have taken over 5,000 children on these beach activity camps. These children have never known the fun of a holiday, many having never even seen the ocean before. We accept children from different underprivileged backgrounds. Many are HIV affected, all are needy."
