Free children's CD's to the needy in Monterrey, Mexico

Through the Activated Ministries Sponsorship Program, our mission center here in Monterrey, Mexico distributed 1,900 motivational children’s CD’s through a series of volunteer projects for the needy during the Christmas season. One of the avenues of distributing these CD’s was through schools. It’s hard to express with simple words the very deep gratitude expressed to us from the directors and teachers of these underprivileged children. That in itself made this Christmas one of our most joyous!

We also visited and personally distributed the CDs one-on-one to the all the children in the two largest hospitals for the poor, including two floors filled with children suffering from cancer. This was one of the most precious times for us; spending time encouraging and comforting these dear children, many of whom will soon be passing on to a better world. At this event our children’s singing group sang and performed an upbeat puppet show, afterwards we distributed gift packages to all the children.

Our last major event was on Kings’ Day, January 6, which is a very big holiday here in Mexico. It’s a celebration of the day when the Three Kings visited Baby Jesus. This holiday is like Christmas in many ways as it’s the time when the children receive gifts from the “Three Kings”. Our special event for 500 orphans and needy children included; a full day at an amusement park, meaningful performances, a special meal, snacks, and gift packages for all the children, and distribution of Activated Ministries’ very meaningful children’s CDs.
