Project Highlights of 2005
2005 was a very busy and fulfilling year for us at Activated Ministries. Thousands of educational and devotional materials were donated to a variety of ministries, outreach initiatives, humanitarian projects and disaster relief efforts worldwide. Lives were changed and hearts were touched with the love of God thanks to your support, prayers, and efforts.
Following are some of the highlights as well as a small sampling of the notes of appreciation we have received from a few of the projects who benefited from the donations of materials in the past year. We want to thank each of you for the part you have played in helping to support this work and ministry. These letters of thanks are to you, also, for making these efforts possible. We hope they encourage you as much as they encouraged us. Thank you for your support!
Monterrey Missions, Monterrey
We want to thank you for your very kind donation of 1,000 Christmas music CDs to distribute freely in our Christmas charity programs in Monterrey, Mexico. The smiles and words of gratitude we received will stir our hearts and memories for many a day.
On Kings’ Day Jan. 8, 2005, The Family International in Monterrey hosted a special afternoon for 1000 needy families in the Colonia Fernando Milpas.
A lively rendition of The First Christmas was presented by the puppeteers, a performance by the childrens’ singing group, a delicious free meal, and then began the distribution of the beautifully prewrapped gift boxes for all the children. Free clothing and food items were given to all the mothers. The children and mothers also received their free gift of a Christmas music CD donated by Activated Ministries, as well as Activated Kids booklets with the Christmas story
MexCity Mission, Mexico City
A heartfelt thanks to Activated Ministries for their kind donation of 477 tapes, 180 CDs, and some 200 Conéctate magazines. Having these tools on hand to give to those in need greatly enhanced our Christmas outreach and witness this year.
In addition to the events described above, our mission gave out several thousand Christmas tracts and the materials donated by Activated Ministries to hundreds of poor on the street, from window washers at streetlights, to mothers begging with their children, to young teens and school children who we met along the way this Christmas.
Wordstock ‘05 - Christian Youth Music Camp
For the second consecutive year, Activated Ministries donated free products to over two hundred teens and preteens to assist them in raising their fare and admission to a Christian music camp called WordStock 2005”.
This camp featured six days of Christian musical performances, classes, Bible studies, skits, and sports activities. Activated Ministries donated a total of 1,835 devotional booklets, 3,870 audio CD’s, and 400 posters to be sold by the youths as a fundraiser for this event. Five of our volunteers also attended WordStock as staff members, counselors, and musicians.
Mission to Nicaragua
We recently returned from a very fruitful mission trip to Nicaragua, one of the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere. The country has suffered earthquakes, war, political strife, corruption, and economic instability. Even so, most people are friendly, open, spiritually needy and hungry.
Reaching others with the Gospel being our primary purpose, we took the opportunity to witness to all we met; wealthy and poor alike, with the wonderful, liberating message of Jesus’ love and salvation. Most people were very receptive and eager to hear more about the Lord and His solutions. We distributed hundreds of gospel tracts and colorful posters, as well as books and Activated Magazines to all we met. They went out like hot cakes and everyone appreciated them.

Prison Ministry in Tijuana, Mexico
With our weekly visits to the minors’ prison in Tijuana, Mexico, where we teach English classes and personally counsel the boys there (all ranging in age between 11 & 18), each of those that have joined us in these classes have received Jesus in their hearts. One part of our 2 hours that we spend with them (aside from English learning, talking personally to their hearts and hearing from them) is reading part of an Activated Magazine together, after which the boys keep their magazine, to refer to & read again later.
At Christmas time Activated Ministries provided us with 250 CD cards (beautiful greeting cards with 1-hour CDs inside, full of everyone’s’ favorite Christmas songs), to give to the prisoners. The express purpose of this was so that the boys, when they had their friends & relatives coming to the prison on family & visitors’ days, would be able to have a gift for them. As we are not allowed to give the CD cards to the boys themselves, the prison so kindly arranged for this special event to happen, where the boys were able to have a chance to give to their loved ones.

Katrina Relief
Activated Ministries has been actively involved in the relief efforts to aid the victims of recent disasters in the United States including Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma.
Activated Ministries has been supporting missionaries from around the country who are answering the need throughout the Southeast US offering physical and spiritual assistance to those that have suffered so greatly in these tragic natural disasters.
Our priority at Activated Ministries is the spiritual healing and recovery of those who suffer in such disasters. During the initial days of relief operations, Activated Ministries began work providing children’s materials, magazines with a message of comfort and faith, booklets and other spiritually feeding and strengthening literature to the evacuees. These materials help strengthen faith and give
hope in the face of disaster.
So far we have been able to supply over 160,000 booklets, CD’s, magazines, posters and tracts free of charge to the relief effort in the affected areas.
